Saved decisions applied to a new inventory opening

A new agent, given only the task and the name of this site’s Module, retrieved our saved reading-path decisions and wrote a new opening for the product inventory: one recommended first task, with its cost stated before the handoff. Other agents checked and integrated the result. This record preserves that opening and what was checked.

Recorded October 17, 2026. The result was published in What I’m Building; the story is Meet AI eduarda.

Publication note, October 23: The inventory has changed since this assignment. The [October 17 opening](#the-october-17-opening) is retained below. The [current inventory](https://eduarda.ai/what-im-building-september-2026) is maintained separately.

Request

A first-time reader followed “See what you can use now” and met a large inventory. A new implementing agent was asked to make the opening recommend a useful first task for someone already using an agent, with the practical cost before continuing. It received the task, repository location and website Module name without the earlier conversation.

The integrating agent had already added a shared introduction field so the visible opening and Markdown could use the same text. The new agent was explicitly told to preserve that work. Its assignment was the opening's content and its focused test, not the whole release.

Retrieved decision

Before editing, the agent retrieved the website's existing knowledge through Cortex, along with the relevant execution, voice, UI and product guidance. The applied website decision was: one primary next action, easy access to the complete inventory, and dated pricing before the first task action. Public page and agent exports must agree.

This decision already existed. The implementing prompt asked for a useful first route and cost; it did not reproduce the website's full operating knowledge. The agent also read current source and checked the public pricing and integration documentation. This was explicit retrieval by an already-connected coding agent, not a test of automatic discovery or first-time installation. The retrieved Flash did not expose immutable revision identifiers, so this record does not claim revision-pinned retrieval.

Produced work

The old opening offered Cortex, Drive, Tasks and Channels as peer choices without naming a first result or price. The new opening is titled “Start with the agent you already use.” It recommends preserving one recurring correction and applying it to a real task, states the dated Workspace and provider cost distinctions, and links once to the copyable task in the guide.

The full article body stayed byte-for-byte unchanged: all 58 entries, six product sections, personal narrative, original date and attribution remain. The authored content file at handoff had SHA-256 5cd60a67c99d0ca7b3431e7bf02dfde786bb04ab63d2c61ad6abcdbfed757133.

Read the produced October 17 opening below. The maintained inventory and its Markdown have changed since this record.

Checks and division of work

The fresh agent's two focused tests passed, covering the retained inventory and the first-task introduction in the public export. Formatting passed. A comparison confirmed the original article body was unchanged. The first comparison helper selected the new nested body field by mistake; correcting that helper confirmed the unchanged original. The web-reading tool could not fetch the guide, so the agent handed actual link verification to the integrator rather than declaring success.

The integrating agent owns the rendering changes, independent review, browser checks, complete test suite and deployment. This public record accompanies the integrated release; it does not attribute that separate work to the fresh agent.

What this establishes

An agent without the earlier conversation retrieved existing decisions and used them while producing a new piece of work. The produced opening is retained below. The task was narrow, the Module was named, and the agent had a prepared repository and working Cortex access.

It does not establish that retrieval alone caused the result, that every later agent will succeed, that work became faster, or that a reader will adopt Socra. It is not a record of autonomous company operation while someone travels.

The October 17 opening

This is the retained opening described above. Its pricing and instructions are dated October 17; use the current guide for current setup.

Start with the agent you already use

If you already work with an agent, I’d start with Cortex and one correction you keep explaining. Ask it to save the decision and its reason, then use it on a real task. You get work you can review and knowledge another connected agent can retrieve.

You’ll need a supported agent and a paid Workspace. As of October 17, 2026, Workspace costs $20 per person per month, including all Workspace apps and $20 in monthly usage credit, with no trial. Your AI provider’s costs and limits are separate. Connecting an agent on your own computer does not add the managed Agent charge.

Try one task with your agent. The guide gives you a message to copy and helps your agent handle setup; you handle sign-in and consent. The full inventory below shows what else we’re building, including what’s available, internal or still in development.
